The Guardian of the Cave
Speedy, the Diving Gnome
Have you had the pleasure of diving in Palm Mar Cave in the last few years? If so, you may have noticed something a little out of the ordinary…
Dave ‘Speedy’ Jones
Anyone who has dived regularly with Aqua-Marina will no doubt have met Dave Jones (or ‘Speedy’ to you and me) at some point. Although he spends most of his time in his native England, he and his wife Ilene have a second home here in the beautiful island of Tenerife – and they make very good use of it, too!
Several years ago he arrived for one of his frequent diving trips carrying something a little, erm, different… He’d come across a little something which put a smile on his face, and he wanted to share that feeling with others.

If you haven’t yet met ‘Speedy’ the gnome/custodian of the cave, then what are you waiting for?
Palm Mar Cave is one of the most spectacular sites in the South of Tenerife, not only for it’s fascinating scenery, but also the abundance of different Ray species which can usually be found here, not to mention the three types of Moray eels which live in and around the cave entrance.
